‘’I have had professional electrical work previously carried out to my house on three separate occasions, all Part P certified, all “professional”. Daton Electrical Services Ltd are the first company to rectify historic issues and give me a house that does not trip and turn off constantly.

From the initial call out, consultation through the installation, the service was excellent. Subsequently I asked Daton to wire my office when we moved earlier this year. They were helpful, even when I slimmed down the services deciding to carry out the network cabling with my own IT consultant. They efficiently re-wired and created all the additional required power sockets with minimal down time to the adjacent offices server’s, they were incredibly polite, flexible and accurate.

I will be using them on all of my personal projects and I have no hesitation in recommending their services to all of my clients.’’

Background

Tait Architects are a local Architectural firm that design buildings for domestic and commercial clients. Stephen has had ongoing electrical issues in his home for a long time and has had several electricians in to try and resolve these issues. Problems like this can often arise in older properties and can be quite a nuisance both to the home owner and the engineer trying to find the issue.

Our work with Tait Architects

We attended a call out to Stephens house to look at the issue he had been having with repeated tripping of his fuse board. We found that the Board was well out of date and needed upgrading to ensure that the issue he was having would stop in the future. After accepting the quote we had an engineer over to resolve the issue and replace the board within a day getting the client back up and running without any unexpected power outs.

Challenges

  • When called out for a problem like this you never really know what your up against until you get to site, luckily with this job it was easy to see that the fuse board was very old and outdated so it was easy to recommend an upgrade.
  • We explained to the customer all of the benefits of modern distribution boards compared to the old ones and he was more than happy to go ahead.

How we helped Tait Architects

  • By replacing the fuse board, we resolved the issue of the nuisance tripping on his electrical system.
  • The new 17th edition distribution boards are much better and improve the safety of your system by having both MCB’s for individual circuits and RCD’s on several circuits for extra protection.

Results

  • The client has not experienced any issues with their power tripping since the board upgrade.
  • We have since been back to upgrade other parts of the electrical system now that they know that their property can handle it with the new 17th edition board.
  • Referrals’ to our customers clients now that they know that we are a trustworthy company that will resolve any electrical issues that we come up against.
