We are electrical engineers, experts, in our trade this
gives us the edge over our competitors
(most of whom are general
builders)
The future as we see it, is electrical. We have known for years that oil
and gas are running out how else will we power our homes?, In the long
term all will become all electric.
We offer :
Free home surveys done by an electrical engineer as opposed to salesman.
Advise you on the suitability of your electrical system to accept new
technology
We encourage a full energy report on your property prior to progressing
your project. (www.glendalesurveyors.com)
Consult with independent ECO advisors as to the way ahead for your
property .

Understanding the 2 types of systems.
There are two
main types of Solar systems available to you at the moment
-
Photo
Voltaic (PV) Electric Panels: Produces Electricity for you and the
grid.
-
Solar
Heating panels: Heats your water. Supplies hot water & heating
Photo
Voltaic Panel Systems:
The benefits
Your own clean independent renewable energy source
Reduction in electricity bills by up to 100% (daylight is free)
Surplus sold back into national grid at good rates.
Clean Energy Cash back scheme feed in tariffs.
Get tradable Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROC)
Increase value of your property.
No maintenance with long lifespan (30 years )
Silent in operation
No planning permission needed. (generally)
Works all year round
More ascetically pleasing compared with Hot Water systems.
The smallest 1kw system should save 25% of your electricity bill.
The larger systems can fulfil all your needs.
Payments for energy fed back to the national grid.
Payback would be expected to occur 10/15 years time.
Systems are priced at between £5,000.00 & £17,000.00
Finance
There is no longer a government grant to install PV panels.
We suggest you
take financial advice on methods of financing these projects
Please discuss with your financial advisor or contact Pure Financial
Advice.
The System
explained
Solar panels convert sunlight into direct current (DC)
electricity which is then routed to the Inverter. The Inverter converts
DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity. AC electricity
then travels to the electrical panel/circuit breaker box where it is
distributed throughout the property. When the system produces more
electricity than is being consumed the surplus flows through the net
meter and out to the utility grid. This creates an electricity credit
that can be used when the system solar panels are not producing
electricity i.e.: at night.
Solar panels
are best installed in direct sunlight on roofs facing east- south -
west.. They can be installed on flat roofs or on the ground
Solar Heating Panels
This technology
is known as solar thermal or solar hot water. Solar Thermal is the most
commonly utilised solar technology in households across Europe. (A
development of the tank erected on the flat roof across the Costa's )
These solar
panels taker over from your boilers job of heating your water so you
don’t use any gas, oil or electricity to heat your water, at night or
periods of low solar radiation the boiler regains control. The solar
panels gathers heat which it uses to heat-up a fluid this fluid
circulates through the solar panel and then through a heat exchanger
within your hot water cylinder the solar heat is then transferred to the
water inside this cylinder.
