The way we do business The way we run our business is very straightforward we do a high quality job and provide all our customers with good service, treating their property with respect. We are reliable and competitive with our pricing. It’s the way we’ve managed to grow our business over the years. Many of our clients have been with us since the 1980s and much of our business comes from recommendation which we think says a lot. 	We have a team of professional electricians who install to current IEE wiring regulations 17 Edition. Qualified personnel (City & Guilds 2391) undertake our inspection and testing.
In addition we have been members of the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) for the past 16 years, these combined credential give our customers full confidence in our ability to provide a professional service. Our Company a brief history: The company, Daton Electrical, was formed when its two directors David Pratt and Anthony Bishop having completed their apprenticeships with Taylor & Goodman specialising in the assembly repair & servicing of heavy electric motors. Having worked for that company for some years it became apparent that they were winding down the site maintenance side of their business one of these being at the prestigious Scottish Courage Brewery in Reading a bid was submitted at the renewal of contract this was successful and our business was formed. Whilst we remained at the brewery until 2011 when it was demolished, the company has moved forward originally a partnership it became a limited company in 1992. As the scope of our work developed it became necessary to work from a central office in Wokingham. We have now moved to our current much larger & improved premises in 2011. A major development in our progress was the purchase of a Mr Electric franchise in 1998 this allowed us to consolidate the growing size of the domestic arm of the business allowing us to focus specifically on customer care. This connection with what is the largest electrical contracting company in the country together with our work for many major business organisations gives us a broad idea of their requirements which when linked with our determination to operate as a family company close to its roots we believe gives us a good balance and allows us to offer you all a very good product which we believe to be second to none. Full membership of the NICEIC was gained in 1995 which ensures we operate to the correct standards technically. We are pleased to support local organisations in our area and believe that we are making our contribution to saving the planet by adhering to strict environmental policies and offering our customers energy saving options and by working with a product which we feel is inherently cleaner than gas.
